A recorded message, from 971-373-2958, was received on my cell phone on 8/22/2012 at 3:07 PM. The recording said that the FBI, Police, and other agencies recommend that a Burglar Alarm sign be in your yard to deter burglaries. It went on to say that if I wanted more information, to press 1 or if I wanted to be placed on their do not call list, to press 9.
I am already on the government's DO NOT CALL list for the number they called. I have documented the call today and intend, if I receive another call from that number, to file whatever suit, complaint, or otherwise is necessary to see that they pay penalties for viiolating any FTC or FCC laws pertaining to the unsolicited calling of phones on the DO NOT CALL register. These people are the scum of the earth and I, for one, will not sit back and take their violations of the law.
I have received calls from 971-373-2958 twice and have reported these to the telephone company and would like to know how this type of illegal activity is being allowed. When you call back the number -- the message you receive is that it has been disconnected.
I have had text messages from Students -- and on investigation found that these students had never texted to my number before --- and it is only since I have had the number suddenly they have included it in their text messages and some of the text messages relate to my phone calls to friends. How the calls are hacked and why time is wasted on these useless text messages is incomprehensible. Wonder what kind of education they are participating in -- future criminals.
This number is calling me over and over. I am on a 'do not call' list for telemarketers. The voice mail message is fragmented--press one for more info- just starts the recorded message over again, and press 9 to get off their list---just starts the recorded message over also. They message does not indicate a company name.
I too received 4 to 6 calls per day since mid Sept thru Oct 3. In annoyance, I checked my att wireless website and was looking into blocked calls($4.99 per month) when there was mention of using the do not call registry. I checked the registry and found that I could list phone # that were bothering me. I did so, and crossing my fingers, have not received a call since the 3rd. Good luck
I am on the Do Not Call List and Still recieved calls from this number. 2 to 3 times a day. How do I make them stop!, Tried registering a complaint with the State of OR and That did not work.
