I had the same number leave the same message and when i called to dispute and asked for the name of the firm they were represneting they referred to a o connel and associate law firm but would not disclose an address to the firm ( policy) when i asked for contact information for the county DA's office to investigate the claim. The informed me that whom ever I contacted could call the call center at 412-346-1323 to speak to an abitrator and not an attorney. The last number was in pittsburg, PA and the original was in oregon.
Recvd call fom this # also on 10/3/12 @ work#. Out of ofc they left v/msg. Said he Class Thomas w/Process Summit Div and wanted my address for res. & work. If didn't hear from me that day would contact my HR dept for protocol on serving order. I had forfietd my rights & non-compliance w/order I would be ordered to appear in court. Gave case # and this phone # to call if I wanted to settle out of court. Good luck in court. Recvd same call & msg two hours earlier from 405-448-2103 w/different case#. Has anyone expererinced this also. Who is he??? Looked up on internet but no info. How can he be in Portland, OR & Oklahoma City, OK that quick??? Sounded like a recording to me!!
Don't worry about this "person". This is yet another crappy SCAM! I get these for a "Marilyn Berteil" by the way, NOT ME. Anybody who implies you have committed a crime when you haven't paid some sort of debt (and YES A PAYDAY LOAN IS A DEBT, NOT a BOUNCED CHECK!!); is violating the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practice Act) and therefore, usually, committing the crime of attempted blackmail, larceny and/or possibly extortion. These jerks are a dime a dozen and I'm convinced all in the same crime ring; trying to muscle some crack money for the weekend. Funny thing is; they never call on weekends; which you would think they would since that's when most folks are home. They're all sitting in their CRACK HOUSE smoking all the money they stole from gullible people all week and you know how frightened crack [***] are to speak to people when they're high. HAHAHA! If you want to talk to them; tell them to knock themselves out and send someone to your house. THEY WON'T.
Also, I might add, anybody who calls telling you you're being served with papers when you haven't even received a call trying to rectify your "unpaid" bill; that's also a very good indication that it's a scam too. And to VS in MS; these guys are not in OK or OR. They're probably in the woods of Montana using Magic Jack so they can't be found. Magic Jack needs to start screening potential users and ask them what the heck they want five phone numbers from 5 different states if they're in another state altogether. It can't be that difficult to stop these idiots. For God's sake, doctors have now grown a new ear on a woman's arm to replace her ear that was removed due to cancer and they can't figure out how to stop two-bit crack addicts from robbing innocent, trusting (albeit gullible) debt owers? REALLY?!?!?!
I just received a call form 971-404-0828. It is a recording and yep I was told that I will be served either at my home or my job if I did not call them to stop from going to court. This is a SCAM.. And I agree, there is a way to stop this foolishness!!
