Kept calling and not giving me a chance to answer, then they remembered to block caller ID and call back, said they were "Application Development Trends", something about IBM, something report, my details off linkedin.
I just got a call from this number, and I answered. A woman called, didn’t say who she was with/from, and asked for Brittney. This is a cell phone and my name is nowhere near Brittney. She then abruptly hung up when I told her it was a wrong number. Odd, but oh well.
Received a voice mail from David Malvo regarding federal withholding. He is now using a different phone #720-259-6219 still from Colorado. I googled the name and saw lots of other call he made a year ago. He's back.
Left a voicemail on my mobile saying she was Vanessa from BofA merchant services and that she would be part of the new dedicated team handling my business account and wanted me to call her at 509-455-1492. Scam. Blocked the caller.
Sorry added infor. This is a company that has bought a bunch of written off credit card debt. Some of this debt is over 20 years old. They probably paid less that a penny on the dollar and now they are trying to squeeze people with threats into paying debt that has long been written off, tax benifits taken, and forgotten by the original company. I know this to be true as I now have two credit cards from the company that they are trying to collect from. That debt is almost 30 years old. Both new cards have high credit limits and the company has never said a word about the written off debt. Don't fall for their con.
