I've been getting a phone call from this number for 2 days on my personal work line, but haven't picked up. Today I decided to pick it up. No one spoke, but all I head was wind and people talking as they walked by. I called the number back and it went right to voicemail. It is a Sprint PCS user and their mailbox is full. No name on the voicemail.
my g/friend called me from barbados on her cell phone to my skype voice mail and left a message. The caller id gave this number..but she was in barbados at the time she called me and her cell phone is one with a 246 area code. i called the number back..always a voice mail box
Some dumb a$$ called, couldn't speak English but tried to convince me we'd met in my hometown and spent the night together. Seems the fool was trying to get me to say the word "yes" ... that was why I kept asking him what State he was calling from. He had no idea and kept trying to get me to "remember" the night we were together.
There is such a thing I found years ago on the FBI website called "Scam Baiting". When I have time, and the call is free, I will engage them because the more time they waste with me, the less time they have to scam other people.
Anyway, my gut feeling is he wanted me to say the word "yes" ... it probably would have been edited to something else giving them authorization for whatever crap they are trying to pull. I hadn't heard this one before so maybe it's a new twist on a scam???
Because of that and the fact I was never asked for any personal numbers or told I had won a prize I think it's a new scam and I'm going to post this on every page I can find.
Oh yeah, I also tried to call it back through my PC using Google phone that only shows as a number calling from S. California....tried 3x but no answer. If there had been an answer I would have tried to jack them around a bit. I try to pi$$ them off enough with their own style of abuse so they hate me and take me off their list... LOL
So much for a Friday night of fun!
