Just received a call and they are requesting donations for law inforcement, but did not say for what organization or department/station. Hung up because I tried to cut in on the conversation and the person just kept on talking. My husband also received a call from North Jersey two days ago from a different # starting with a 908 area code.....which is still north jersey not sure if they are related.
4/18/2012 I received a "cold-call" from a male who stated that he was w/ NJ Law Enforcement Asso., and that he was soliciting donations, for that organization. I of course declined AND asked him how + where he got my name + phone number. He stated that "he" dosen't know where "the company" gets the phone numbers from. I instructed him to put my phone number on their "DO NOT CALL LIST".
This caller is not a legitimate solicitor, but a telemarketing terrorist- probably an Al-Quaeda front organization preying on well-intentioned and uninformed consumer citizens.
