Called, gotmy vm, said 'hello' repeatedly, then said, "ok, there's no message, I'll just call back later". Obviously a robocall. Caller ID said 'out of area'. Waiting for the return call. NOT! Blocked.....
I received a call from this number at 12:38 PM. Being a Sunday, I thought it might be a doctor calling about my mom who's in hospital. I answered and a man said he was calling from the American Veterans (don't remember if it was "Support Foundation" or "Foundation". He explained they are raising money for wounded Vets who are hungry, need assistance, etc. He then asked if he could send me a pledge kit & count on my support. I replied, "I would absolutely love to help our Veterans as I am so thankful for them...." Next thing, this guy says "Thank you for your time" and hung up. I was going to say I've been unemployed for a long period of time and not in a position to help at this moment. I can't believe he just hung up without listening to remainder of what I had to say. I am wondering if this call was a scam.
