They have a database of people like me who have donated. I sent check to Multiple Schlerosis last year, and they knew exactly how much I donated. I'm a little suspicious, so not donating this year. I didn't give out credit card info, just told them to mail info to me. But then, who knows if this is legit too.
They called about 2pm on Father's Day. Medallion something. I said we're on the Do Not Call Registry and it's illegal to call us and we have not done business with you. The gal had to get her "supervisor" in order to ok taking us off their list! Since when?! The guy asked if we wanted to be off...could they send us mailings? I stupidly said ok to that....I guess now "I'm doing business with them". I called the number back-201.244.4368 and got a recorded voice that the line was busy and to leave a message.I said no calls or mailings. Probably won't help. Don't know if it's Special Olympics or not, but telemarketers are awful!
