got a call from this number claiming to be irs. i knew the area code was wrong and there was no reason for the irs to call me didnt answer it even though thee computer voice told me it was urgent that i call back. scam
Called the number back, got a HEAVY middle eastern or S.W. Asian (India or Pakistan) accent.....he said is name was "David Brown".......LMAO!!!! doesn't sound like a typical David Brown. Anyways his badge (so he says) is 122531. Apparently I'm being charged with fraud and theft.......typical......anyways I told him he was full of [***].......or I'm going away for 5 to 10 LOL.
If you want to have some fun, call him back. Ole David is worth a chuckle, and you won't feel bad abusing a foreign caller.....like AT&T's "Brad" from Kansas.
The loser David Brown called me he had me convinced an was able to get private information from me.Dont give them your social or confirm your address.I felt dumb after the call. He knew a lot about me and deceived info from me. I was shakened , but friends encouraged me to call the IRS, they knew nothing
Call them back AND KEEP CALLING THEM!!! Make up any story or complaint you want. Call to report a friend or family member who is fraudulent on their taxes (not really......I mean make up a name or a story) or call to be transferred to another department within the IRS and refuse to hang up until they transfer you.....or bribe them (fake naturally.....but make up BIG numbers.......because it's not your money) Do what ever you can to keep them on the phone, make them hang up on you. When they do call them back until they block your number.
If he's talking to you he's not scamming someone else. Also YOU are now costing them money to operate. Someone want to shut something down??? lets do what the IRS seems not able to do and shut these guys down.
I got a call from this number also. I fell for it ! but I didn't answer any of his questions but gave him my last digits of my social. And I told him to send me the paper work. I my lawyer right away and I was told it's a scam. I filled a police report and I called the credit agency and put a fraud alert on my credit report. I called the number bag and went off on him and he hung up!
