I told the woman to stop calling me and I was going to put her in jail. I don't think English is her primary language but I think I put a scare into her. I am going to report these scumbags to the FTC again.
I did end up messing with the caller. I work for a bank so I gave them bogus numbers and address and I asked them if the wanted my personal PIN for the card as well, They said sure and I made one up. Then I cused the B out and he hung up on me....They are still calling onece a day. Logged the number in my address book of my cell phone and gave it a uniqe ringtone (None).
I just got a call from this number on my work cell phone, and I answered it where a lady who had an accent said "thanks for using your credit card ending in xxx4. You will be rewarded with a gas card" I asked what issuing bank was the card from and she replied "I cannot tell you for your security" I said no thanks and hung up.
Just what everyone else has been saying. This number 201-257-4421, Ive been getting random calls from this number, and have not answered. I screen my calls, but they do not leave a message. beware if it is a scam like I read above. Gas card scam or something like that.
I received this call for the first time yesterday and again today. I was immediately tipped off because the caller no longer has a heavy accent, as described above, but is using a computer generated voice. As soon as he asked for a $1.00 shipping charge I hung up.
