Caller stated that I had completed an online survey about car insurance & I informed him I did no such thing. He admitted that it was a sales call. I registered a complaint on the DoNotCall.gov website; this was the second call from them in the last week.
This is really annoying. I got a call from them one week ago and the caller stated that it was in reference to car insurance rates and that he would like to explain me how I can save 30% on car insurance. Well, I just got car insurance at an amazing rate (with Progressive, if anyone is interested) which is much lower than any other company that quoted me, so naturally I said, hey, I am not interested, thank you. Then I got two phone calls from them yesterday which I ignored.
Well, today I got a phone call again. After the greetings were exchanged, he stated that this was not a "sales call" so I paused and kept on listening just in case it was something that was actually important to me. Then he started telling me about savings, blah-blah, at which point I interrupted him and said "hold on, how is this NOT a sales call?" He paused and said, well, I just wanted to let you know about the savings. So, I said, OK, you did, and not I am going to let you know that I am not interested, I have great car insurance, and please do not call me as this is the line that I use for work and I prefer not to get telemarketing calls on this line. FOUR HOURS LATER I get the call from the SAME person!!! I totally recognized his voice and his inability to pronounce my name. I informed him that I spoke to him earlier today and I thought that I was clear at that time that I have absolutely no interest in his offers. He had the gall to say in a very sarcastic voice "oh, so are you so rich that you do not need the savings?" WHAT? I thought that was extremely rude. He has no business poking his nose into my personal financial affairs. I am simply happy with the insurance that I have now and I KNOW for a fact that I won't get a better deal from any other company, and my time at work is very valuable to me to spend it on this call. In any case, I told him to put me on a no-call list and to never ever contact me again. Thanks! If they do, I will not hesitate to report them to the appropriate authorities.
the people call and say you can save 30% ummmmm how did you get my number!, they call alllllll the time! 2 or 3 times a day and every time they call i say i'm not switching, take me off your list! and do they no! i told them to take me off the list and they called me back an hour and a half later!!!!!b wtf?
Calls up to 5 times a day right in a row, no message left, when you call back there is a busy signal. I am on the do not call list, give me a break. This is soo annoying. If I wanted to be bothered I would still be married to my ex.
