Received the following message (exact spelling, etc) on April 6 at 1710 hours from:
afebo4802rdfq81bkqhz_ Dear customer, your intervention is needed_Call now: 2012616157_Sender:Bnk 0f_AMERICA_DEBIT_Sorry for the situation_4558gvzsz6240]

Got automated message "We regret to inform you that due to suspicious activity your VISA debit card has been deactivated..." and requesting card number, expiration date, security code, street number, zip code, last 4 digits of ssn.  Did the same as Protector (gave completely bogus info) and was told my card was re-activated and my account was secure.

Will report to [email protected].  Thanks for the "heads up" everyone.

Same thing, SMS text to my phone with this number,201-261-6157, obvious scam and probably 3rd worlders based on poor grammar and overall layout. I liked it better when only a few countries had technology.

Received 2 txts from 201-261-6157. Called after the 2nd text. No answer. Then proceeded to look it up and discovered it was a scam.

I did not get a phone call but I got a text message with the return phone in blue! I reported it to Bank of America's Abuse sector by email. Crooks are getting slicker! Wow!
