Received a phone call from 201-266-5668. He wanted access to my computer because he said I had a virus. (I have 3 computers) so I asked him which one? He said your personal. I asked him again which one? He could not answer my question. Said he was a windows Technician. I tried everything to get proof that he was with windows. To no avail, just a questionable site with this phone number at the top right hand corner. I told him I could not allow some stranger access to my computer. Told him I would hire a Computer Tech. He told me no why would you do that. You will have to pay him, we are not charging to correct your viruses. I had to hang up on him. He then called my phone 3 more times. I just let it ring.
Claimed to be with Windows and that he was notifying me of the many viruses on my computer. He gave me instructions of things to do on my computer before I hung up on him.
This person CHETAN.GUPTA64 (told her his name was MICHAEL) called my house repeated and convinced my daughter our computer was contacting their computer and saying there was a systems error. He convinced her to log on to a website of theirs and he gained access to our computer. She panicked and hung up when realized he had gained access to computer, she then turned off and disconnected the computer system. This GUPTA called our home 10 times one day and then called again the following day, in which I intercepted the call and explained to him we reported him to the FBI scam alert.
