They called and left no message. The number is from New Jersey and besides I don't know any one from there. It's a Scam!!!!!

Got this call last night after 11 pm. I assumed it was a wrOng number since I don't know anyone from that area and live several states away.
Why can't the provider shut down a scam that has been reported so broadly?
