Just got a call from these folks (09.03.15 1140am AKST). I'll start with there was a lot of noise, voices and all, in the background like all the call centers we all get calls from....
Caller ID says: Cliffside NJ 201-282-5687
Pretty sure I've seen this number before on random calls. If not the number, I *know* that I've seen Cliffside NJ on my caller ID before with these types of calls.
We're a business and the caller asked for Jim McSheery (sp?). I said no one here by that name so she asked if anyone here who could talk about community funding (?) projects, I said no. Something she said made me ask if they had spoken to Jim McSheery (sp?) here before as I didn't recognize the name. She said yes but it had been a while, maybe 2001 or so. I asked who she was calling from and maybe I could help or relay a message to the owner. I could her a voice in the background and then she said 'Medallion'.... She said she'd call again another time.
Just to clarify a few things......
I've been with this company since 1998.
We have never had an individual named Jim McSheery (sp?) working for us.
There is only one person who makes the call on donations, etc.
They called me today 3/8/2016 saying that they were with Special Olympics. Caller ID said Weehawken NJ. I normally donate to Special Olympics, but that is through our local state chapter and I write a check directly to that Agency.
