The only ones that honor the DNCR are legitimate businesses. Unfortunately many of these telemaggoters are based in countries that will not cooperate with our investigations.
When it comes right down to it, I make it a practice to try and ignore 99% of unfamiliar callers.
Rang 2x on cell and hung up. Not planning on answering due to posts on here. From Kerny, NJ. I am on the national Do Not Call List Registry and still get these calls. Who do you report to or go if these keep up?
i hate this abuse by the number who keeps calling... this is communications abuse and a federal agency should put a stop to this activity as we tax payers pay dearly for protection by sending money to the federal government to regulate this type of behavior. Shame on the federal agencies for "no response"....Read in shame as soon to be empty tank of tax dollars is looming.....
Mike, "a federal agency", namely the FTC, has the same problem as private citizens. We lack the manpower to choke off all the domestic scammers, and we cannot simply reach across an ocean to punish the ones tucked away in India and Pakistan and other regions where criminals enjoy the harboring of corrupt governments.
The absence of Telemarketing Sales Rule enforcement is a popular myth. Keep sending complaints to the FTC and attorneys general, or our leaders will assume the illegal call problem is less severe. File a TCPA lawsuit yourself if you can find a place to send your summons.
