Called my cell-phone, didn't answer, they left no message.  Called back and got this: "You have reached a non working number announcement 14switch 17-1."

You didn't leave your number. How can they remove it? Lol.

Calls several times a week. Pressing 2 to be removed does nothing. If anything the calls occur with greater frequency.

Oh, and they hang up on you if you press 1 to be connected to a live scammer. Quality service, that.
