I believe there is a SCAM goin on. The District Manager is a guy named Charles Urrutia. There is no return address on the letter. They are targeting kids 17+ for work positions in Bergen County. The girl answers the phone and gets all the kids info: birthdate, zip code, email address and says the location for the interview is not on the GPS. WHO are these people. They could be scammers predators traffickers.... Isn't it illegal to be dealing with kids without parental concent?

Vector Marketing is the "parent" company for Cutco Knives. Very good knives, company has been around for many years. HOWEVER, their method of marketing is NOT one I would recommend! They recruit teenagers & college students (they handed out letters of recruitment at my son's HS graduation!), and teach them a sales spiel, then send them out. They are supposed to get contacts from their parents, friends of family, church, etc., to start, then have those people give them a list of contacts, with whom they will then set up appointments. High pressure pitch, including that the kids are vying for a chance at scholarships if they do well(they're told that there are quite a few scholarships, few actually being the operative term, since I understand they're based on reaching an unrealistic quota). If you want the knives, which have a lifetime guarantee, go to their online site. DON'T answer one of their come-ons for a job - check out some of the info on them that is on the web - search either Cutco or Vector Marketing.
