caller feigned that he couldn't hear me,but Iknow that he did.
he said that he would call back but didn't.

same thing. he called and acted as if he couldn't hear and then said he must have something wrong with his phone and hung up.

Topdot Mortgage.  I called them back with a blocked number and got a recording that says "if you wish to be removed from our calling list, leave your name and number"  read about them here also.
