Received call from the number listed above and I said hello 3 times before I heard a strange sound or could have been a voice I do not know but then call went dead and back to dial tone. Most likely a scam. It is a scam as I have already discovered that they claim to be from a Medical company and will be upgrading my diabetes testing meter. This is a nothing more than a scam. Don't give out any information.
I received a local phone call and returned the number. The individual answered without acknowledging name which appeared on my caller ID. The number which was computer voice driven stated it was "an urgent message." I blocked the local number and did not attempt to contact the"telemarketer" with the NJ area code. Solution, each time I get a computer generated call, I will forward the same to the County Sheriff's Office. They are tracking down "scam" calls which use local exchanges. Do the same, or contact your local police for harrashment calling. If this does not work, why not work together forming a CLASS ACTION. First, contact DO NOT CALL listing with the Federal Trade Commission. Second, call your telephone provider. Third, contact a member of your Congressional delegation, and Fourth, contact the New Jersey AG Office and file a complaint. If this "collector" dosen't get it, we will tally up these calls, and file a small claims in STATE COURT for $1,000 each, plus filing costs and attorney fees. These may be a third party collector and they need to inform you in writing before action(s) are taken. Merely calling is a form of harrashment and is covered under the FAIR DEBIT COLLECTION ACT.
Received a call from this number today. They had pertinent health information about my spouse and were trying to get us to provide our health care insurance provider and our pharmacy prescription provider. They were very persistant but got nothing out of my spouse for information. This is not the first time we have had a call from them. They also asked for my wife by name being very specific.
