Received a call today from 201-297-5805 (unknown name). They only asked for my daughter. I asked who was calling and they said very quickly "I'll call back later". I called the number back and it was a recording from Discover Card with "an important announcement about exciting new products and services". I hung up. If they have something to offer, they can send her an e-mail or mail her a circular. It is done to hoodwink you into something and they record your voice. This is an intrusion. I have a land line in case of emergencies and usually never answer. I do on occasion to verify which shark of the week has my number.
Another unwanted call from Closter NJ 201-297-5805 on Oct 12th 2015 at 9:40 AM and as usual no VM was left. I don't know anyone who resides in NJ. If it's Directv calling me to get me to upgrade, they are wasting their time, as I dont answer my phone from numbers that I don't recognize and if they can't leave a message, then the call isn't important to begin with.
Calls every.single.day. Never leaves a message. I can see from the other recent posts on this number that it appears to be DirecTv, which isn't surprising as we have had them for the past 9+ years and they are constantly annoying us with calls to upgrade equip, subscribe to movie channels, etc. I guess they haven't learned that annoying me isn't going to make me amenable to giving them even more of our money.
if this is Directv calling then I am very soon going to be canceling my TV cable with them. Why don't they ID themselves on caller ID. I am so sick of these calls. Why can't they just send an email? I am already canceling my phone with VZ that I have had service with for 47 years because VZ can do nothing to stop these kind of calls. They just keep coming. So sick of telephones.
