I noticed I had a ton of missed calls from the same number I answered it and said hello, and heard someone trying to talk but it was too loud, so I was like "Dammit just text me!" because this person was just re-dialing my number over and over. Then I got outside and it was a middle Eastern sounding guy with a 201 number (my phone said it was from New Jersey), and he was angry about something and was talking in circles I didn't know who he was, I answered again about the 7th time he called and was so mad I was like "WHAT!? WHAT THE #$% DO YOU WANT, JERSEY!?" And he said "You don't even know who I am, and you're cursing at me? I have your name right here, I know your number, do you have any idea who you're talking to?" I said "No, who the $%^& are you, New Jersey?" He said "You don't even know who you're talking to, and you talk to me this way? I'll see you the next work day, which is Monday," then he hung up....and CALLED BACK IMMEDIATELY And he was like "Why do you keep saying I'm from New Jersey?" I said "Because you're calling from a New Jersey number. You said you knew my name, what's my name?" He avoided the question. Honestly at the very beginning I thought it was a friend messing with me just for fun, then I noticed a sort of Pakistani accent. So I asked again, "What is my name?" He hung up. After about 7 minutes I said "I'm gonna call him back," RIGHT BEFORE I WENT TO DIAL HIM HE WAS CALLING ME AGAIN! I said hello? and he kinda mumbled something, and I was calmed down and just said "What up?" then he said "What up?" And he was like "Is this a Georgia number?" I said "Yeah? You called it...this is literally the FOURTEENTH TIME you've called it" (I counted, that was the amount of times precisely). He was like "I'm trying to figure out what's going on and why you're calling me." At this point I realize it's the same exact number, but now a drunken black guy is talking, like not angry drunk, half asleep drunk. He said "What the hell is going on here?" I said "I dunno, seems to me like you called the wrong number a billion times, why don't you tell me what is going on? I'm at a show and I answer you thinking you're my friend, on the first call it's established that whoever called and I both know you're not my friend, and yet you continue to harass me, stop calling." Then he slurred some words together, something like "whatchu mean HARASSIN' you, I'm trying to figger out why you called me in the first place." The fact that this guy is telling me I called him first (a New Jersey number), and the way he said "HARASSIN'" made me laugh out loud and my paranoia just melted away and was like "I gotta admit, I admire your dedication to this stupid joke," I didn't hear his response but I said "Hey, sorry I gotta cut you off, the band's about to play, prank call me later," and I hung up. He called like twice after that and I guess just passed out or gave up. I thought maybe this was an elaborate joke conducted by some of my friends or people who knew me, but I still don't know what that was all about. I wouldn't have kept answering but I was trying to get to the bottom of the whole thing, but I will possibly never know.
