Received a call around 7pm picked up and a female spoke one word then hung up. Immediately after I was texted from this number. Beware of giving any info away, losers like this surface more and more around the holidays.
This is the ole "Your Smithsonian magazine is about to expire" CON. Don't fall for this, or give out any personal information, even if you subscribe, and your subscription is about to run out. I called the Smithsonian magazine 1-800 customer service number, and reported them, after finding this on the Smithsonian Magazine website: (click "contact", then "Subscriber Services Site", then "Important Customer Alerts":https://secure.customersvc.com/wes/servlet/Sh ... .jsp&MSRSMAG=SJ
Beware of all incoming calls requesting personal information.
I called the number back 1.5 minuets after it called me and it said" you have reached a number that is no longer in service" but it calls me 6 times a day.
Received a call from this number today regarding a playboy magazine subscription. When i asked why the guy was calling, he became extremely rude and agitated. When i asked for his supervisor, he hung up immediately. Sounds like a scam to me.
