When I told them I was interested in more business via google plus they transfered me to a fellow that did not even identify himself but instead started the "verification process". After I verified what anyone could find out online, like business name and address I said "Who am I talking to"? He said his name real quick and started to ask more personal questions about the business. I Said excuse me, I don't know who I am talking to, He said "google maps marketing, what do you not understand about google maps marketing" I said, "Ive never heard of it so I dont understand anything about it". His response is "Whats there to understand, like I told you i'm google maps marketing". I asked, "Do you work for google?", He started to get annoyed and said, "What don't understand about google maps marketing, google is google, we are teh marketing division" (making it sound like he does work for google without actually saying yes) I said, "Like I said, i dont understand anything about it, You called me and are asking alot of questions, I just want to know who I am talking to, like I asked you 5 times (at this point 5) do you work for google? It's a yes or no question, I feel like i'm talking to my 5 year old, answer yes or no, do you work for google?"> 'click' he hung up. The answer was obviously, no, he does not work for google. He's a [***] sitting in India or Nigeria looking to Scam you.
I would never understand why anyone would give personal information to ANYONE that calls you. If it is such a good deal and you are such a legit company you wouldn't need to make cold calls to solicit stuff like this.
Getting calls several times a day from this New Jersey number and multiple other numbers in New York, Pennsylvania and other states. Rings briefly, no one there. I was blocking each number as I would get a call, now I am texting STOP back to the number each time so I have a record in my messages as to how many times each number calls me.
