i sure wished something could be done about people like this bothering people like me
I have been getting calls for the last 2 days twice per day. it ask for me by my first name only and then hangs up. I suspect someone is spoofing their number to look like the number on the display. there is a service called spoofdial that will allow you to have any number you want show up on the other pesons phone. i am suspecting it's a probe to check for activity and maybe make a charge to your bil. like 9.95 a month for some random service. they ask your first name and when you say yes, they embed a message before your name as though it sounds like are you agreeing to the terms of this service and then "yes" to lock you in. it's a simple scam. my carrier doesn't allow add-on services so I'm not worried but just as a heads up. if they ask is this "name" say absolutely not. and keep an eye on your cell bill.
guys its an online pharmacy!!! I just got a call from them. You all must have ordered some medication online- so they have you on the system. the calls are sketchy though...
It is an on-line pharmacy. Though it is a challenge to understand what the name of the pharmacy is, as the caller sounds as though he doesn't have a proficient grasp of the English language and speaks in very low tones.
He does call me by my first and last name. I haven't noticed any authorized charges on my phone bill.
