I received an email from Alex Ruiz indicating he was interested in seeing my car based on an ad I ran in Craig's List. I called him seconds after getting emailed and noticed he was aloof and vague about scheduling a meeting. It was puzzling considering he initiated it. Not only did he not show up at a location we both agreed on but he also never called to say he wasn't coming. To make matters worse, around the time we were supposed to meet, I received a call indicating that my debit card balance was (negative) -90$ and fraudulent activity was suspect and was prompted to call some number under the guise of customer service (which I did not call). I suspect fraud being that Alex Ruiz was the ONLY person from Craig's List who got to see my phone number. Following is the text message that may be linked to Alex's phone number: Your atm card number 405609-xx-xxxx-xxxx fell to -90.00$ due to fraudulent activity. Please contact our member center at 1-786-888-1129. I am no longer using Craig's List to sell anything. I've been inundated by these types of scams. Be forewarned!
