These are scammer calls from people claiming to be Social Security Advocates. The past few days they have called and left voice msgs and texted me numerous times, all from different phone numbers and different area codes. I called back the first time because my grandson said he was going to file for disability, and I thought it was about that. However, he has not applied yet. They wanted my name and I told them that they called my number and I will verify information they had. They did not know my name nor phone number and I would not give it to them. They got irritated with me so I hung up. Within three hours, they texted me six or seven times so I called the FCC. They said to call the FTC ( Federal Trade Commission) so I did and they took down all the numbers. They said the phone numbers they used were ones they harvested from other people and that is why they call from so many different numbers and area codes.
They called me 3 times within 10 minutes and have been sending text messages every hour telling me that I have to call them to get my disability benefits.
