Just received a phone call from this number on our house phone. No message and when I used my cell phone (blocked my number) I got a recording saying this number has been disconnected and no longer in service. A definite red flag for a scammer. Beware!
Have received several calls from this number, most I have ignored and let the answering machine pick up as is my custom when the number is not recognized. However, I decided to answer on 2 occasions and both times there was no one on the other end who was gifted with the courtesy of speech. A search of the number reveals that it belongs to MCI Communications and the exchange is in Hackensack, NJ. A complaint will be filed with the FCC since I have been on the No Call registry for years and do not do business with MCI so they have no legitimate reason to call me.
