This is a scam! These are phony, harassing telephone calls and I've gotten a couple of them in the past couple of days! I was shaken up at first, but, after doing some research, it appears to be a scam. Messages of poor audio quality were left on my answering machine, by a man with a thick Indian (South Asian)/phony British accent, claiming that it's IRS, I owe money, they have a warrant for my arrest and to search the premises, and that I must call immediately the same day. Total boloney! Ignore these calls. The number left on my message was 201-418-4563 (which is in NJ), but, on my caller ID the number is showing as coming from San Antonio, TX: 210 418-4563!!! This is a scam!
Report the Calls to the real IRS here:
•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
