It may be a legitimate thing, but I hate it when someone gives you something absolutely free, yet it costs you shipping and handling, and they get to know your credit card number. Remember when someone was always calling and giving you free magazine subscriptions. Several magazines, free, sounds like your lucky day, and all you have to do is pay the postage, which worked out to be more than the regular subscription rate as listed in the magazine itself. It all has a fishy smell.
I investigated that same posting by Google to work from home and earn "X" number of dollars a month. Sounded great, right?! BUT...if you read the fine print it also read that there is a monthly charge for the membership and another fee after the free trial had expired. I immediately closed out of the site but now it's all making sense why I'm getting calls from this odd number with an area code of 201 (from NJ). I guess I forgot to remove my telephone number or something from the website. As soon as I read the fine print I stopped filling out the application 'cause it didn't sound good. AND, in the fine print it reads "Google does not endorse" the product (or something to that affect).
Number has called me 30 times in the past 3 days. I have reported each and every call to the National Do Not Call Registry. Every time they call I say stop calling me, you have been reported to the FCC, I am on a National Do NOt Call list. They keep calling I keep reporting them. Hopefully they will go away
I have gotten a handful of calls from 201-425-1461 today, and when you call back the automated message always says there are no customer service representatives available, that they are on other calls. If there are any respresentatives in existence, presumably they're dealing with people who are as pissed off as I am!
