I received a vm so I called back. Said he was from the USA Department of Treasury regarding a legal issue of taxes I owe. I told him I have never owed taxes to the government and always get a refund....he hung up quickly at that point. Putting this number on my blacklist.
Actually left a voice message, male caller identified himself as or representing the US Treasury and not returning the call would be a Federal Crime. YaSureYaBetCha. Pretty alarming to say the least, gave me a moment’s pause as the blood rushed to my face! Since I have a 825 credit score and have no outstanding debts, I deleted the number, remembering other reports of collection extortion call scams circulating out of the same area…just got a new number, same scam. Do yourself a favor, don’t answer. Just another dirt bag call center.
Recieved a call from this number- need to have a call back or this will be an intentional avoidance of a criminal issue and will result in penaltise. Please call them back and help them help me. I will be helping myself by not calling back . SCAM

Received a threatening call from (201)443-9742 saying to call back or I would be avoiding a court appearance and called back and sounds like an Indian Man thick accent saying we are not in please leave message. Bogus Bull [***]!
Below is the voice mail message I received as transcribed by my phone service. I also listened to the voice mail message and it is is pretty close to verbatim of the statement he said. Obviously, this is part of one of the current scams designed to have you call in and give them your social security number, etc.
A number of coworkers have also received this message.
“Hi this message is intended to contact you. My name is Steve Martin and I'm calling regarding an enforcement action executed by US Treasury intending to-serious(?) attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to avoid initial appearance before Magistrate judge-article-and(?) June for a federal criminal. Thanks. My number is 201-443-9742. I repeat 201-443-9742. I'd like you to call please-without(?) and help us to help you. Thank you.”
