Keep receiving a call for someone not at this number saying it's "Verizon" I've gone through the prompts a few times telling them the person they are looking for is not at this number and they say they'll take the number off their list, but they never do. I receive a call twice a day from this line - I've just stopped answering.
ITS NOT VERIZON YOU IDIOTS -- ITS a phishing scam... whether you answer it or not it doesn't matter. You wll get calls like this from a lot of different numbers with the area code 201... its all a phishing expedition....
This number called several times. Finally left a voicemail and stated it was Verizon retention dept. It sounded official - pre-recorded voice promp asking for a reference code. I never answered the call and instead called Verizon directly to see why they would be contacting me. Verizon informed me that they did NOT have a retention department, and they did not see any reason why one of their depts would be contacting me. This is a scam/phishing attempt.
I am no longer a Verizon wireless customer and I do not owe them money yet they keep calling my job after hours and interrupting an empyoyee who works late and has to answer the phone.
