I answered company phone and this number popped up and it was a recording stating that the IRS has filed a tax lien and that I needed to call this number back ASAP.

They say they're from the IRS.  They're not from the IRS.  The IRS has lots of ways to get in touch with you.  This is a scam.

a recorded message called our office that a lawsuit had been filed against us by the IRS, that I needed to call this number immediately

I called them back and said i was brighton police dept., they wanted my badge number, so i gave them one.Now they won't answer when i call them.
