Male caller says he is calling for ->(my first name) from law offices of Bronson Migliac & that is what shows on caller ID.

Definitely a collection agency. The name on the caller ID is different then their actual name:

Male caller asking for a name that sounded close to mine. Could not understand law firm name until I read it on this site. Gave call back number of 888-523-0856, extension 1136. I don't owe anyone so do not intend to call back.
I received a message from a Julian Carter calling from the law office of Bronson Migliac (yeah right) with an important matter for me - he gave my marriage and maiden name in the message. He forgot to leave a callback number but did tell me that it was a very important matter...I used caller id to call back [201-461-0023]. When I called back, I asked what the matter of importance was and he said that he was calling for my father/brother (both have the same name). I asked him how he got my name because I obviously use my marriage name & my father/brother have a different last name than me. His response was "family listings". I asked why he was trying to contact one of my family members and he said that "federal law prohibits him from disclosing that information to me -- for my family's rights". So, my response was "for my family's rights - I can't give you any information on them". He again mentioned that he was calling from a LAW OFFICE & I told him that I didn't believe that either. (I looked this up before I called him back.) He became defensive and said that it was a federal matter and I told him that if it was a federal matter he'd know how to get in touch with the right person. I told him that he was harassing me for information that I would definitely not be giving him and that I never wanted to be called again.
A woman with a spanish accept just called and asked for a family member that does not live here. She said she was from a law firm. I advised her that she does not live here and is jail. She told me I was lieing and that I was her. I gave her that jail website and directed her on to the search page, so she can verify the girl is in jail.
A Mrs. Thorpe from Bronson and Migliaccio called looking for my father, states he is to call back at 888-523-0856 ext 1127 regarding a undisclosed matter for my father. I called back and left a message with no response as yet. Thank goodness my mom found this site. Thank you for your comments, I know now exactly what to expect.
