You may want to check your status with the Do Not Call Registry because it does expire after a while. However, if you find that you are in fact still on the Do Not Call list then you can take legal action against them.
Received a call on my cellular phone. The caller hung up before I could answer. Returned the call and listened to a pre-recorded message, "you visited one of our affiliates websites and you've been selected to receive a pre-paid card that you can use at many popular stores."
Pressed 1 and got a live person with a heavy middle eastern accent, English was his second language. I could hear several voices in the background, so it's a very busy call center. These people probably do telephone soliciting for several "off the grid" and unscrupulous businesses.
Don't waste your time griping about being on the Do Not Call list. The FCC doesn't care about your petty complaints unless they can make a truckload of money suing these people. These scumbags wouldn't be worth the time to chase down and prosecute. Just don't answer your phone when they call.
