was called twice in ten minutes from this solar telemarketing company. I thought the name, Carl Peterson, sounded familiar, especially the second time - it was like hearing from an old friend who could barely be understood trying to sell me solar panels!
This is a telemarketer for solar panels. The caller has an India accent and I ask if his name is Carl which he states it is not. The caller admits he is a telemarketer no less! But since the call is outside the USA the Do Not Call registry is useless, of course.
The spill is this. They are going to send you solar panels for NO cost. And these panels are going to save you 50% on your electric bill! They make their money by selling these things under some program I do not know what. I explained that they are calling someone around the Arctic Circle, does he know where Alaska is? He says yes and continues his pitch. I explain that while we are know for being the Land of the Midnight Sun, and this is true. We are less known in winter for the Land of NO sun. I explained that it is snowing and we have not seen the actual sun in over a week because it is always cloudy up here. How are his solar panels suppose to work? No answer, he starts explaining the program again.
There yah go. Dumb and stupid all rolled up in one package. I hung up on him. By the way, while his name is not Carl I continued to refer to him by that name because I do have a sense of humor after all.
