Comment: Use your Caller ID and never answer the phone if you do not recognize the caller's name as a company you do business with or a friend or family member.

DO NOT press any numbers with these kinds of calls. If you engage with them in any way (talk to them, press any numbers) they will call you even more. I've discovered this the hard way. Just hang up. You have to remember that these are scam artists. They don't care if you don't want them to call. If you press any number or speak with them all you are doing is confirming the number is valid and there's someone at the other end willing to pick up the phone.
The phone number and the name of the woman on the illegal pre-recorded message changes but the scam is still the same. Now it's "Carmen" from "cardholder services" trying to phish for our credit card info. Bite me, "Carmen."
