As simple as that. Just call them and curse the hell out of them until they give up. Remember IRS never calls people and they say it is criminal investigation! ye right.
First they called my number from 508 area code, then 714, now 201. I guess, IRS has offices all over the USA!! Wow. your tax money hard at work, I see. Well, except IRS NEVER CALLS for ANY REASONS!!! They always send a letter. Read some IRS books, you scammer morons, before calling hard working people.

This number has called my cell phone 2 days in a row. Voicemail started halfway through call, Says he's an officer and to contact IRS. Don't answer and do not call back. It's a scam
They left a voicemail pretending that they are IRS and asking to be called back "as soon as you hear this message to prevent legal action to be taken against your name".

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
