I wish I could say this was a wrong number but they call repetitively. The caller is always "calling on behalf of their CEO, who will not discuss the matter until they are transferred to..." (the person they've targeted that minute.)
He muttered, mumbled, and covered his mouth when asked what type of company his CEO was head of. All I caught was Technology.
Very annoying --- Had >10 calls from this number in previous 24 hours -- a number over the middle of the night (had some last weekend as well).
Person asked to speak by my first name -- I did not affirm if it was me but immediately asked where he was calling from -- I had to ask 3 time:
1st time: He gave me a first name
2nd time: He gave me a first name and a last name
And finally on 3rd time: He gave me the name of the company (which was muddled and not clear)
I asked me not to call and take me of his list; and immediately hung up.
Because of the odd hours calling, my assumption is that it is based outside of North America.
BUT I am wondering what their angle or scam is --- it is so unprofessional, that it is hard to imagine many falling for this.
Got a call from this number and also 201-503-2195. The first 2 times, I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number but the third time, i answered and they were looking for a former employee. I thought that was it and then they call again! This time looking for a current employee who works in another city. They both sounded foreign and when I called the two numbers back, I got a message that that number is not in service!!! If they call again, I'm going to rip them a new one!
