Banks will clear the check as a courtesy n then by the time u send the item a week later the check bounces bc it's fake/fraudulent So by time you actually realize check is bad you've sent merchandise
I put an ad on Craigslist and only listed my cell# in order to avoid the numerous scams. Was targeted anyway by someone at this number. Obviously, they are educated, because there are none of the misspellings or strange syntax one would expect from someone who speaks English as a second language. They told me they wanted to buy my (used) mattress set sight un-seen (!!!) and wanted my name and address so as to send me a bank check, and then wait for it to clear before I shipped the product. What??!! First of all, who in their right mind buys a used mattress without seeing it (smelling it? lol) first?!
I replied cash only. I'm sure I'll never hear from them again!!
Just posted an ad on CL with my "encrypted" phone number with alpha and numerials to avoid scams and received a text from this number. I Googled it before I responded and saw this posting. I won't be sending a response text. Thanks!!
I just got a txt from that Number at 7:15 in the morning and they waited long enought to respond to me that made me google their number and found this. Thanks for posting up... I responded with Cash Talks and you can Take a Walk...

Got a call from the same number within minutes of posting on CL. Wanted to send me check, wait for it to cash and then pick up the product. No...I don't think so.
