MESSAGE: Customer issue, hsbc ny services frozen. call us at 201-620-2117
I don NOT have an account with this bank, and I don't know anyone that might have one with them, but I keep getting similar text messages on my cell. I'm not sure what to make of it.
Result of calling the above numbers:
888-843-8320 - Fax number
201-620-2117 - They will request the 16 digit account#, then the 4 digit expiration of the card, and ultimately they ask for the PIN# to the card... No matter what account you type, in the end they will say "Thank you, your account was updated successfully" ... and they hang up.
Please do NOT type your real account number !!! This is just a scam !!! Go to your HSBC local branch if you actually have an account with them... Wish you the best.
