i started to get calls from various numbers I did not recognize when I posted my resume online. Calls are not from recruiters, if so they would leave a message! Got a call from this number and they hung up!
These people are a piece of work. Called me again, let the phone ring twice then hung-up. I was getting a little sick of this so I called them back and they let the phone ring a couple of times and then someone disconnected so I decided to be as obnoxious as they are and just kept calling back, over and over and over. I finally had someone pick-up! Took me about 26 calls but I guess you can annoy them back and when they answered the phone they answered saying they were a company called "Education Direct" calling in response to my inquiry on line about furthering my education. Well, they screwed-up there a I am a physician who retired at the age of 50 yrs old when I began losing my eyesight to retinitis pigmentosa. I am now teaching at the University I graduated from so many years ago. I guess it's true, those who can do, do, those who can't do, teach! I never contacted anyone on-line about furthering my education. WHY WOULD I? If I were planning on continuing my education I certainly wouldn't look to an on-line school. I'd not go off campus! Something not right here. They also offered me the chance to be taken off their calling list so if they have a calling list what' with saying they got my name off of some on line source. Since offering to take your number off their calling list is usually 'call harvesting' there is something else going on here that I wouldn't trust for a second.
