people should just get in the habit of not answering the phone, assuming they have caller id, unless they recognize the number ~ saves a lot of time...i let the answering machine get this and they hung up when the message went on.
Realize that this # is not the charity itself. It is one of these contracted out companies that makes calls on behalf of the charities. In most cases, the charity sees very little of the donations made through these types of calls.
