I went for an interview in the beginning of June/2011. I was immediately hired and promised $14 an hour once I received my SORA. I was charged a $75 fee and over $200 for the SORA(which I later found shouldn't have been over $100). I passed the SORA test with a temporary sora which they wouldn't honor. I went for my fingerprints(an additional fee) out in Paramus. A week and a half later, I received my card. I haven't received a phone call from them since. I've made numerous calls to them but was sent to a full voice mail for "human resources" and at some point I did leave a detailed message and have yet to receive any call at all. I, actually, went down there and they told me they had no openings and I should be patient! You don't advertise in a newspaper unless you have openings!!!! That's business 101. So, I sent an e-mail to the Better Business Bureau and the State Police and told them they should investigate these deceptive business practices. I'm very upset because I really need a job and because they "hired" me I stopped looking and now I'm even worse off then before.
They have ads in the Jersey Journal (under this number because everyone is used to the main one now, the 201-729-1999 number) that say stuff like, "50 POSITIONS avail. FT/PT No exp nec. will train $8-$15 an hr."
Umm, no. They don't have 5 positions, let alone 50. They lost numerous accounts in New Jersey so how can they say they have 36 or 50 open positions? And $15 an hour? Umm, no, try again. That's to entice you to answer the ad.
They only want to overcharge you for the SORA (security guard) license. THAT'S IT!
Call them if you don't believe me. TELL them you already have it and want to apply and see the runaround they give you...
Yeah i call this company frontline security for job. the first thing they ask if you have SORA license. I do have a SORA so they told me to email my resume. I did this twice but no luck. I guess they need people without SORA so they can take their money at leave them with no job and no money.
