I'm assuming that I shouldn't reply, but how should I make this stop? Been receiving other txts from other numbers as well. Just want it to end.
Sarah...there is two things you can do...just ignore your play a game with them,,let them send you the check and of course they will ask you yo deposit it keep some money for yourself and send them a wire by western union to them in the amount of several thousand dollars..you do neither..
when the check comes e-mail him and say that the bank wouldn't accept it..
he will e-mail you back and say go to a check cashing place;
then you say i went to the cash check place and they wouldn't cash it they said the check looks fake.
now they might even suggest to try and cash it at a gas station..
you write back and say no gas stations in my area wont cash it..
now you probably wont hear from him,but if you do..
then you write back and say i know this is a scam your posted on scam busters and i even called the bank on the check and they said its not real..and then say i bet you got real excited about me sending you a couple of thousands dollars but guess what your not getting a dime..

he will never e-mail you again but I'm sure other scammers will so just play along and eventually they all will stop e-mailing you i dont get any e-mails from them or from africa i do still get the occasionally one from iraq
Spam text message received on Verizon cell phone, allegedly from 201-736-8425, despite my number being on the Do Not Call registry. Text reads:
"As Thank You for visiting
our site, a $25 Wal-Mart
Gift card and $25 Visa Gift
Card CAN BE Yours.
Call 1-866-869-2132
Or visit LAPTOP33.com
2end reply stop"
I never give out my cell number for any commercial purpose or on any web site. Will report these numbers at donotcall.gov
