I have seen numerous calls this past week from 201-753-7515, with no message left on my answering machine. Today, I decided to pick up the phone and wait to see if anyone spoke, and he did, saying "Hello, my name is Rick and I'm calling on behalf of AT&T, how are you today?" OK, so he was friendly enough and perhaps didn't personally merit my hanging up on him, but I did that after first replying "I'm good, but given AT&T almost never leaves a message when they call and I don't answer, I just don't feel like taking this call right now." As a telephone service provider, AT&T should NEVER make an unsolicited call to one of their customers and hang up without leaving a message if nobody is available to take the call. Once they start acting respectfully and responsibly, ALWAYS leaving a message about the nature of their call, so that I can decide if it merits my calling them back, only then will I start taking their calls.
