I got a call from this number this evening. The person on the other end of the phone could hardly speak English, he aslo claimed to be with Medicare. He asked me for my ssn# when I told him that I would not give him this info he got really mad. I told him I knew he was lying about being from Medicare, as I deal with the SSA all the time and I know they will never call me and ask for my ssn#
This is one of the new numbers for the computer virus scam... The callers announce they are calling from Microsoft, but don't know anything about computers except that mine is full of viruses. He could see it all right then. Kept on stressing I give him access to my PC, When I told him I was in IT he asked for my IP address then when I started laughing, he told me to F#$% myself then hung up on me. He then proceeded to call me back from 607-795-4626. And we went through the same thing all over again.
