This number has called several times to update a "free" listing in the online yellow pages, I have asked nicely to stop call we are on the do not call, they stopped for several months and now its on again. This is totally a scam because at the end they want you to say yes for a fee per month if you do not cancel and I am not giving my boss anymore reasons to yell at me
They call our place of business about 5 times a month. They are the Digital Online Yellow Pages. They are a service that will be billed throuh your phone number to be listed. What a hoax. They make you agree that you are allowed to incure charges to the telephone number. I repeatedly said no and then would stop the recording and remind me to say yes. Pain in the dupa!!! I have told them not to call - put us on the do not call list. I have recorded the name and phone number and if I get one more call, I am reporting them.
Your 100% correct. This scam is known as Cramming. At the back of your phone bill you'll see a extra charge which goes to these clowns. If your a victom of Cramming, call your phone company and report it. They'll remove it from your bill and in my case even refund me for 12 months of this service. You can also ask the phone comay to set a security on your account that doesn't permit it to be changed without a passcode.
They called 6 times today. Each time they called was about 1 hour and 10 minutes from the last time they had called. The sixth call I answered and said hello, and they kept saying hello like they couldn't hear me, so I just said, "Go [***] yourself." and hung up. Next time they call, I am going to go ape [***] on that person.
This company has called me 3 times today to verify a "free" directory listing. The guy sounds like he's from India, reads from a script, and does not understand much English off-script.
On the 3rd call, I went ballistic. After repeating about 10 times each, 'REMOVE my company from your directory," and "REMOVE me from your call list," the creep was STILL trying to "verify" information which I told him HE HAD NO PERMISSION TO COLLECT OR PUBLISH.
telemarketer killer, the next time they call, I encourage you to do your worst.
Apparently, because they have you on some bogus list, they think they cal get around "Do Not Call" by claiming a relationship exists.
