Received txt advertising ipad beta testing

This text message rec'd at 2:58 AM and reads:  Apple is looking for people to Test & Keep the New iPad3! ut only the 1st 1000 users that goto  http://ipad3winner.info and enter code BETA will Receive it!

so did I.  Is it legit?

Scam. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. Don't fall for this trick.  Do you honestly think apple would look for people via random text?  This totally screams SCAM.
