I have been getting calls from this number for several months now. The best available research indicates that there are numerous companies who can identify the owner of this number and pass on pertinent information pertaining to this number, for rather EXORBITANT FEES. I will not pay exorbitant fees for what should be public information. Since messages are never left, I can not say what type of entity owns this number (person, business, etc.), nor will I make any statements regarding same. Iff (iff = IF AND ONLY IF) the owner of this number is one of the many unscruplous collection agencies that are operating these days, I refer you to the ABC "NIGHTLINE" broadcast of April 25, 2012, particularly the segment that featured a lady named Diana from Wheeling West Virginia. I called this number back from an unregistered prepaid mobile phone. I got a pre-recorded (possibly non-human) message identifying the company as American Coradius International (ACI). According to the best available research, ACI has been operating as a debt collection agency out of Amherst, NY. There are also many complaints about how they operate outside of FDCPA guidelines.
They call me 3 to 5 times a day and whenever I pick up there is no one on the line so if a debt collector I would say there system is not very effective.
