Today Google Money Tree contacted me. They have been trying for the last 3 days (I would not answer because I did not recognize the phone number 201-918-4865). They would try to call about every 10 min. When I did answered the phone, the telemarktr immediately started reading a script to me, I tried to interrupt her to ask a question, but she kept reading, when she did stop reading, she very sternly told me that the phone call was being recorded…..WHAT!? (ok, I am totally turned off at this point.) what, she thought I was giving her a hard time because I wanted to ask a question?! WHO OPERATES A BUSINESS THIS WAY? Well you can do what you want with this business, but it’s not for me!
This is a computer generated phone call, when you pick up the phone the line sounds dead. To get rid of this annoying phone call, when you pick up, you may need to wait 10-15 sec. and someone will start talking (reading from a script). Tell them immediately to put your number on the NO CALL LIST. You may have to say it three times, but if you say nothing else, they will get the message.
This is 2 days in a row. I have been getting called by this # I called it back and it was some kind of voice message about telmarketing. I probably shouldn't have called it back. I will not call it back again. They have called 3 different times today starting around 2PM
I've been hanging up on these guys for the passed two hours, finally I picked up, said nothing (on call 18) then again they hung up. About 5 minutes later I was called back and there was a live human being on the phone - turns out it's a marketing company from "Google Money Tree" that someone very kindly signed me up for on line - a "make money from home scheme". I have reported them to the DNCR in Canada and have put a block on my phone but the number that comes up is bogus. In Canada if you do a call trace - the information is not given to the person being harassed, rather it goes to the RCMP so I am unsure that I will go that route.
Well finally, some light has been shed on the mysterious calls I keep receiving on my cell phone, only no one is on the other line. When I called it back I get an out of service recording. What loser company excpects to get good press from this ubserd behavior!
